The program will be offered in 试点小区 to support some of the city’s most vulnerable homeowners. An initial allocation of $10 million will pay property taxes above a base rate for qualifying applicants over a 20-year period, if they continue to qualify. 

We anticipate a large volume of applications to this program. Recipients will be randomly selected.

To be eligible for the pilot program, Atlanta homeowners must: 

• Be a city of Atlanta resident since 2015 (priority for homeowners of 15+ years);

• Have a clear title/ownership; 
• Be actively enrolled in qualifying city and county homestead exemption programs;
• Have no encumbrances attached to the property;
• Have a household income of 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) or below.

Invest Atlanta will conduct a webinar and two in-person information sessions prior to the July 17 launch date for homeowners interested in applying for the program. Sessions will cover program eligibility, 申请流程, 申请截止日期, and how to get application assistance. 房主 interested in applying are strongly encouraged to attend.  Invest Atlanta also will conduct two application assistance sessions during the open application period for those needing assistance completing an application.
